Fantômas @ Tavastia, July 7th

Fantômas ruled at the sold-out Tavastia, hands down. The gig was extremely exhaustive and intensive collage of metal, sound effects and grindcore with Patton's elastic vocal acrobatics.

They played pretty much all of the "songs" from Suspended Animation, bits from Delirium Cordia and few tracks from the Director's Cut (Expriment in Terror, Omen, Cape Fear and Godfather as the encore). Patton conducted and Buzz Osbourne, Trevor Dunn and Terry Bozzio (with his insanely huge drum kit!) followed. Fantômas' metal is the most challenging and rewarding. A rare treat.
