Well, next year there is no more Haukivuori. The municipality will be merged to Mikkeli on Jan 1st, 2007. Throughout the years Mikkeli has eaten up all the surrounding smaller communities one by one.

The Haukivuori people knew it was coming and they have pretty much accepted the destiny. There is no way a small community like Haukivuori could alone sustain the needed service level anymore.

We agreed that next year will do hardcore Karaoke songfest at the local pub.
